Me with 3 friends Planned for the trip. Our plan is to reach Top slip and night stay in top slip and next day morning start to Valpari. Our plan is to take my car. But the problem is I am the only person who can drive. So we dropped the idea b’coz I cannot such a long distance from Chennai to topsilp which comes around 600-700km. so we rented a car.
Friday morning we started the trip from Chennai at 5:30am.From Chennai me and Abisheak were started and remaining 2 of my friends will join in Madurai. We have headed towards Madurai and by 10:30 am we reached Ulundurpettai due heavy traffic it delayed and I was very hungry so we finished the breakfast there in roadside shop. Again we started our journey towards Madurai .On the way we had two pit stop for water, Tea..etc., at 1:30 pm we reached Tiruchi and we had our Lunch. And started heading towards Madurai and Finally we reached Madurai at 4:30 pm. We went to my friend’s home; there we have been given a warm welcome by their family.
My friend’s mom invited us for dinner, we can’t refuse it so we spent some time there and finally we had our dinner (Awesome dinner) and started towards Topslip at 10:00 pm. hot discussion were on the board between my friends full of jokes and we were having fun. When we reached Dindigul most of us are very sleepy. But my fate I was setting in front seat with the driver so I should not sleep. Then I started talking with driver. And finally we reached Pollachi. The sounds of Pollachi Coconut trees welcomed us. And we stopped there for a tea break. Suddenly it started raining and tea was very hot we all the tea.
We started from tea shop towards Topslip. And within a very short distance Ghats started. The cool breeze was amazing all were shivering. Drizzling was making the weather more pleasant. And finally we reached the check post of Topslip at 5:30am. As usual there is one in the check post and the check post was closed we cannot move further. So we stop the car and waiting for guard to come. I felt that is the right time for me to sleep at least I can give some rest to my eyes.
At 6:30am my friends waked me up and said some came to the check post felt more fresh at that time. Me and Abi get down from the car in the drizzling and met the guy in the check post. He charged us the entry fee. We are first to enter the hill on that day. We reached the top of the hill and we went to reception to check for trucking. But he said that elephant trucking was cancelled due to the rain. Only van trucking is available. We were disappointed in elephant trucking. So we have taken the van trucking. We get in to the van and it started towards the forest but we are unlucky b’coz of rain there were no animals in the forest.
And the van stopped at one point and that is the place where they feed elephants and it was awesome place…The below picture will explain more……………….
Next we went back and stayed in a tree house and taken some snaps lunch we ordered in the forest canteen but itself. Food was not good in the canteen so we decided to take snack and bread for dinner.We went for trucking the night but our cameras are not allowed b’coz sometime elephants might get angry if they see the flash. Night stay went son fine.
Next day morning we have started from topslip at 5:30am and we headed towards valpari. At starting point of Ghats there is falls called Monkey falls but its dry at that time. An another disappointment. But its full of monkeys..

After sometime the tea estates of valpari welcomed us ….then its full of fog. The monsoon started on that day….it was raining and full of fog and mist…
